| Tatanka Album Release Show |
Homegrown in Denver Colorado, Tatanka is a three piece specializing in the sounds of dub, progressive reggae, and electro soundscapes. Heavy Caribbean drum and bass grooves provide the pulse for the party as the music invites you to get down and dirty. This trio of denver dub samurai’s just recently released they re first studio E.P. entitled Sounds in Technicolor. Sounds in Technicolor has reached over 4,000 downloads through Tatanka’s website and social networking sites. The release has been dubbed as drum and bass music for a new generation, a twist on new and old reggae riddim’s and an instant classic. The pulsing basslines provided by Tatanka’s Malonestar seem to rock the mind into trance while Champian’s guitar work and The Mexico’s hi-hat, snare and kick drum 4/4 playing styles pepper over the top of the album’s four track’s almost flawlessly.
Tatanka has shared the stage with many major national and international acts that include but are not limited to: Easy Star All-Stars, The Black Seeds, John Brown’s Body, The Expendables, Groundation, Pretty Lights, Passafire and more. The Tatanka trio continues to push they’re sound to the next level. Dub rock Syndicate recently gave the boys the title “the up and coming kings of dubtronic.” Tatanka has now been touring for over two years and will continue to do so. ChampIAN, The Malonestar and The Mexico are all determined to bring the dub madness to a city near you.

| Drop Switch |
Drop Switch is a modern sound hailing from Denver, Colorado. Fusing hip-hop, rock and soul, it is their high energy level and uniquely fresh blend of styles that brings this group to the next level. A Denver non-profit, Helping Hands, had this to say about Drop Switch. "This solid six-piece is representing Denver in a smooth and sophisticated way that will soon be turning heads."
These six musicians are set apart by their intricate original material laced with complex rhythmic subtleties. This group is led by the soulful bluesy voice of Emma Wallingford who can be compared to the likes of Adele. Along side is Sheldon 'Logistixx' Valdez, giving the group a whole new dimension with his creative lyricism and rhythmic flow. The driving force is without a doubt the rhythm section led by the tight drumming of Collin Mcnellis. Noah Hubbell of Denver Westword had this to say about Collin's drumming. "Still, you can't say enough about the drummer Colin Mcnellis. He knows when to get flashy. He knows when to blend in. He really understands the songs well enough to do the little things and make them even better." Max Shoffner's bass lines perfectly sync with the punchy kick drum creating one tightly knit machine. Ben ‘Horse’ Sarlo plays the screaming saxophone lines with melodies that will stick in your head for days. The melodic fretwork by Alex Hawley and Chris Overlid tie everything together for one diverse, cutting edge group. "The group really shines because they are just that -- a group, and no single person is elevated above the product." (Denver Westword)
Drop Switch got their first taste early on in their career. After only rehearsing for three months, they were booked at the Bluebird Theater supporting Eligh of the Living Legends as well as Denver’s own, MTHDS. The following summer months after the Bluebird show seemed to all fall into place. Drop Switch shared the stage with several more national acts including Aer and OCD: Moosh and Twist at Cervantes’ Masterpiece, as well as Logic and Tayyib Ali at Hodi’s Half Note.
In June, the group released their debut EP, “Take Me There.” The EP features 6 original songs. One of these songs, "Lust Keeps Burnin", is featured on Able Planet listening stations in 432 Costco's nationwide.
After gaining some momentum and recognition in the Denver hip-hop scene, Drop Switch was invited to play at the 2012 Find Your Way Festival. FYW featured other artists such as Brother Ali, Hieroglyphics, Grieves, The Reminders, The Wailers, MTHDS, Abstract Collective and more.
In the following months look for Drop Switch to be releasing their second EP, as well as begin to headline small venues all over Colorado. This is sure not to be the last time you hear of this up and coming group.
